PRIVATE PILOT

THE PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE :

If you want to travel across Canada and even outside Canada, you want to take more than one passenger, this license is for you. It will satisfy your passion what aviation. With this license, you will be able to enter the qualification of night flight, your multi-engine, your IFR ... It is also the springboard if you want to work in the field of aviation. This is the first step to becoming a professional pilot. Able to stand on its own wings, bring family and friends in flight is something unthinkable 100 years ago, now you can. Course schedule :

- After a few hours of dual flight, a first theoretical test on the air regulations (examination passed at school) and after getting a radio operator certificate, the student will LACHE SOLO. Then, while practicing the exercises alone on board, it will be prepared for a flight test.

Minimum Requirements :

- Flight training:
45 hours total (minimum):

  •  17 hours minimum dual instruction with an instructor
  • 12 hours minimum solo, the student is alone at the controls
  • 16 hours dual and solo

- Ground Training :

A minimum of 40 hours of ground school training is required by Transport Canada before taking the written examination at the Ministry of Transportation in Dorval. The pass mark for this exam is 60% and it covers the following subjects:

                                - Air Law
                                - Navigation
                                - Meteorology
                                - Aeronautics - General Knowledge

Duration :
- Depending on your availability

Requisite qualification first:
- Age: 17 years for the flight test and 14 for the first solo flight
- Medical certificate Class 3 or 1

Test :

- Flight Test with an examiner from Transport Canada
- Written test: grade on the written exam 60%
(Please note that it is possible to pass the theoretical examination of the recreational pilot or private pilot PNC PPAER for this training)
